Yeah, so this week, I received a coffeemaker and two packages of coffee in the mail. I had answered a promotion that, for $10, would give me a coffeemaker and two packages of coffee... and start me on a coffee-club-of-the-month sort of plan. Usually, I'd feel skeptical about these offers, but the prospect of a [programmable!] coffeemaker for $10 was just too appealing.
I put the check for $10 in the mail and tonight called their customer service number to cancel my membership. Yeah, I feel kind of sleazy for doing so, but I'm sure they experience a lot of that.
The question I'm wrestling with now is whether or not I should open and start using the free coffeemaker. I mean, I already have one, and asides from the fact that it's not programmable and that I had thrown away the small part that prevents coffee from spilling onto the burner when you remove the pot to pour yourself a cup of coffee while it's still brewing... it still works. And I could totally give away the new unit as a gift -- in my old age of 26, I'm really starting to think like MOM.
But it'll be cool to wake up to the smell of Peruvian Organic coffee, just like in the Folger's commercials.

So, yep... I opened it. It's so huge. (And guess what's playing on the tv in the background.)
Anyways, it's programmed and ready to go to brew tomorrow morning at 6:45am. Woo!
