Saturday night, I went over to my friend Ernie's house for a dinner fundraiser for Equality Florida.
He and our friend JoJo put together the menu at this fancy event.
In total, there were six of us, a small but healthy contingent for our area. The other guests were Brad, Hugh and Jason.
It's the first time I've tasted JoJo's cooking, and it was absolutely fantastic. The presentation was beautiful, and he took my intolerance of lactose into close consideration throughout.
Here are the food pics:
and Sugared-Fruit Decor
and a Roasted-Tomato-and-Provolone Bruschetta Crouton
served Crusted and in Mushroom-Marsala-Gravy Reduction,
Rosemary Roasted Potatoes, Asparagus Bundles
Chocolate-Chip-Covered Caramel Apple Slice,
and Chocolate-Covered Fluted Wafer,
Coffee with Baileys, Whipped Cream, and Cinnamon Stick
We all shared some of our stories and experiences over the meal, then eventually headed into the living room to watch a short video about the work that Equality Florida has performed.
Overall, the evening was a really nice community-building experience. Ernie and JoJo did an exquisite job putting it all together. I'm glad to have met all the guys and hope to spend more time with them soon.
Many Thanks!
