FOOD: Island Pasta Company

I met my friend Emily for a belated-because-we've-both-been-busy birthday lunch at Island Pasta Company in Downtown Melbourne. This is one of the places we have eaten at multiple times, not only because of its convenient location, but because the food is good and the atmosphere is nice.

Here's what we ordered [I apologize for the badly-lit pics from the cell phone; it's just what I had to work with]:

Blue Lagoon
Crisp romaine, leaf lettuce, candied walnuts, blue cheese, red onion, and grapes $8.50 With Chicken $10.00

Seafood Cake Sandwich
Shrimp and crab cakes with a tropical tartar sauce on the side $10.00
and another look...
Emily's salad looked delicious -- the chicken looked so juicy. But I really enjoyed my Seafood Cake Sandwich -- two big shrimp and crab patties with flavorful tartar sauce on crispy, buttered bread. The lunch was well-priced and very satisfying.

Anyways, we caught up with our going-on's and made plans for future meets. It was a good time as always, and I can't wait until we can get together again.

:)
