Alright, for the sake of keeping record and as a throwback to my first blog, I'm deciding to return to the habit of categorizing my blog posts.
e.g. -
JOURNAL: SCR, J&J, and Sleep
- This is the "default" category. These entries are about grabbag topics. I'll try to keep it one subject per post.
RUN: 5 miles @ ~50:00
- This entry is a record an instance of my running or exercise, and it also acts as a consolidated place for any thoughts of the day.
RACE: Rockledge Winter Blast 5k @ 21:46
- This is where I write about the latest race I participated in. Hopefully I get to this soon afterwards while the endorphins are still coursing through my system.
FOOD: Tempura Night
- Did I try cooking something new? Something asides from rice or hot dogs? This is where I congratulate myself for being adventurous.
MOVIE: I Heart Hucklebees
- What movies did I pay money to go see? This is where I can show off my discerning taste of movies (e.g. Cache, A Prarie Home Companion, The Illusionist) or make known the sacrifices I make for good friends (Scary Movie 4).
BOOK: The Front Runner by Patricia Nell Warren
- I'm reading a book? I'll just tell you now... there won't be many of these entries.
MUSIC: Evidence by Joseph Arthur
- These are songs that, for whatever reason, I am fascinated by at the moment. And more than likely, you'll recognize these from my MySpace page.
TOP 3: Week of January 2-8, 2006
- It is here that I reflect upon a week and list the things that I'm most appreciative of -- people, things, events. These entries are probably the most interesting thing to go back and look at.
It's pretty friggin' cool the sheer amount of work I put into it, content-wise. Perhaps it's my post-mid-midlife-crisis crisis... another attempt to return to a familiar place as far as life goes... a need to "have it [all] down" somewhere for all the world to see and empathize with me. Seriously, I would be another one of those weirdos who takes a picture of himself everyday for years then makes a video collage set to some new age music... if I was more disciplined... or had a mac.
