1. Masquerade Ball Water-Station: this was a very rewarding experience. It gave me a sense of being responsible, of giving-back, of accomplishment. I enjoyed working with the kids and seeing some familiar faces. The change of location and pace of that morning were a wonderful surprise, and was a good start to the race-themed weekend.
2. Running Partners: Greg, David, John, Mike, Loran, Dave, Robin, Jen, Doug, Mary... these past few weeks, I've been training better and enjoying practices more, and the reason is because of my running partners. They've been great with keeping up my motivation and with pacing. And because of them, I feel like I've matured as a runner. Thank you all.
3. Reassuring Words: I had a rough time this past Thursday. The reason was that I had lost focus on what's important in life. I'm glad to have family, friends, and co-workers that can help me find my way again -- Jojo for his encouragement; Jordan for his empathy; Karen for her familiarity; and Cindy for her care.
