It's Christmas Eve. We've spent time with the family, so do we (Cindy and Cedric) do? Drive to the nearest park and go running! (We still need to train.)
Ross Park, a couple miles from Que Ma's. It's unfamiliar territory so we decide to run straight down the road and make as few turns as necessary. We ran slow since it was brrrrrr-cold outside and there were some icy patches. The snow on the ground all around was beautiful and a good distraction to the fact that it was cold and we were running.
After a couple miles, we spotted a tall, smokey-looking tower and decided to run towards it. Turns out it was a broadcasting tower for the local CW network. It was sandwiched between a local ministries building that looked like a circular two-story hotel building from the 70s, and a "Cathedral Buffet" restaurant (???).
The run back was also easy. And we didn't get lost! Once we got to the car, we took our post-run pictures:
Afterwards, we stopped by McDonald's and picked up 20 Chicken McNuggets for $4.99 and for an extra $2 two large fries:
It was a nice, easy-going run in the cold and another fond run memory.
