My friend Herb invited me to brunch at Pauly's Diner off of Mills Ave. with some of the people from his recent Pre-Solstice Potluck Brunch (I haven't blogged that event yet (still), anyways...). There were 7 of us, and we were a crazy bunch... lots of personality and very photo-friendly with the exception of Eric, so naturally I'm going to post an extra pic of him here:
Anyways, Herb warned me that this place caters to quite a number of "Republicans", which I guess is the difference between this place and Brian's Restaurant, where I've eaten a couple times before - at least the waitress was nice. The food was nothing special and was a bit underwhelming - pancakes here came out runny, but there was no problem sending them back to be made "well-done".
Even though the food was meh, the gathering was a lot of fun. The ladies at the table (um... would that be everybody?!) were lively then someone suggested making this a regular event and deemed us the "New Breakfast Club". It was quickly decided that for February we do Ikea's breakfast (good inexpensive food followed by and good inexpensive shopping!).
Even though this is neither a secret society nor are its member by any means "shy", they can be pretty elusive and mysterious:
Anyways, before we all went our separate ways (for now) the group got together for a picture.
I really enjoyed these people and look forward to next month.

Remind me never to pull my pants forward like that, it gives me "girl butt." Not that there's anything wrong with that. Except that I'm not a girl.

p.s. your butt needs to be in the next picture.
