RUN: 6.1 miles @45:06, Crispers<--> Suntree&Spyglass, Melbourne, FL

[NOTE: using the 'map' view of tonight's route because it's easier to follow. click here for the 'satellite/hybrid' view.]

I made it to the end of the week!

I wanted to treat myself to a take-out meal and wanted to have to work[out] for it, so I drove to my new favorite place for [healthy] food, Crispers on Wickham, with the plan to a 3 1/2 mile loop of Wickham and Spyglass, but in classic Cedric-style made a wrong turn (onto Waetli), decided to detour over to US1 (via Suntree Blvd), then continued with the original plan (Spyglass to Baytree).

What was to be a 3 1/2 mile run magically turned into 6.1... sound familiar?

The run was fine/good, and tonight I ran with music (hand-held since the "pack" was in the wash). I started off quick but cold -- just fell into that rhythm as though running was "familiar" -- and the extra pace and mileage showed itself 4 miles in when I started to feel some wear in my right knee. I kept pushing through though -- a case where running faster felt better than jogging.

Anyways, I finished the run in 45:06 -- overall pace 7:24, pretty consistent though I really should be varying my training speeds more. Overall, I'm again very satisfied with tonight's run.

I went into Crispers to place my order, and the cashier was SO nice -- she offered me a glass of water! I then headed back out to the parking lot to stretch [and take pictures of myself]:

And before I had a chance to really stretch, the same cashier was outside with my food -- yes, she really did come outside to bring me my food!. Seriously, I'm very impressed by the people there... it makes me almost want to go there without a coupon. [Anyways, I'll pour on even more compliments to that place in a future entry.]

Well, first thing after I got home... jumping sweaty ceddy pics!

Then it was time to dig in! Here's what I ordered:

CITRUS CHICKEN WRAP It’s a Florida original. Our signature chicken salad, fresh summer mix, pineapple, mandarin oranges, sugar walnuts and honey lime dressing, twisted up in a soft wheat tortilla.
THAI SALAD Fresh summer mix greens, savoy cabbage, julienne carrots, grape tomatoes, topped with savory slices of Jamaican jerk chicken, sprinkled with Asian soybeans, crisp tortilla strips, honey roasted peanuts.Top it with our own spicy Thai peanut dressing.
and for dessert, the CAPPUCCINO TORTEThe food was again Delicious, and I almost finished everything (just half the wrap left -- midnight snack). Anyways, the rest of the night is for relaxing, then it's to bed for good rest -- Orlando tomorrow!

G'night!
