Tsotsi is a movie about the coming-of-age of a hoodlum in South Africa after he performs a carjacking and discovers an infant in the backseat.
The movie won the 2005 Academy Award for Best Foreign-Language Film and very rightly so. It is a beautiful film that delved into a darkness and find humanity. The development of the characters was well-crafted, and while watching the film, it was surprising how I felt invested in the story's outcome.
I can imagine being in the same scenario, except I there wouldn't be a carjacking and instead of a baby, it'd be a small dog or cat. Anyhow, Tsotsi has merit and is worth a watch.
