Who Killed The Electric Car is the documentary about... well, the title says it all. It begins with a funeral... an actual funeral. And like the funeral, this documentary was highly staged.
Don't get me wrong, I think that electric cars would be awesome, but the way that this documentary goes about giving it's points... it's incredibly biased and oversell. It's like those anti-smoking protesters with the body bags -- yeah, I agree with you, but you're rubbing people the wrong way dude.
Was what the automobile companies did right? No. Could the California Air Resources Board have handled things better? Definitely. But the film makers were as fair and balanced as Fox News, and I feel like this documentary spewed more choking exhaust than the hummers they loathe.
The electric car isn't to blame -- I still think they're awesome -- it's the filmmakers. This film not tailored to win minds... at least not mine. They just need to stick with the facts and trim it to a 20-minute infomercial.
