Tonight was the SCR's monthly board meeting up in Cocoa. It started with a short presentation by an "alternative medicine" physician who performed a demonstration of "neuromodulation therapy (NMT)" on our president:
In addition to that, there was a lot of news and business, and the meeting ran a little over, but I didn't mind - it was nice to hear more behind-the-scene sort of stuff about the marathon. Not so much else to report here.
Here's the obligatory elevator pic:
Anyways, it's been a really long day. I'm exhausted.
I woke up earlier-than-usual (for the fourth day in a row) because of an 8am dentist appointment. I didn't want to be late this time, so I got there 10 minutes early but they weren't even open yet - so I just went back to the car to wait for the holiday ringtones (...). When I did head into the dentist office, there was the expected weird/awkward vibe, then when I said that I wanted to decline flouride treatment, I got lectured about how Plax doesn't work the same way. Then after the cleaning was done, I learned that my hot dentist wasn't going to be in... (boo)
On the way to work, I made a stop by Krispy Kreme to use a "free coffee" coupon, but I ended up with one peppermint-iced glazed doughnut and no coffee due to mis-communication. (meh)
After that, I stopped by a couple of dollar stores searching for a generic holiday card to go with the brownies I was delivering to the people at 20/20 Eyeglass Superstore (just because I wanted to).
It wasn't anything big; I just walked-in, gave them the brownies, and walked back out... (in hind-sight, that may have been a bit weird if they didn't remember who I was...).
Then was work, which felt short except for two meetings that I seriously could've done without. There were also C++ classes that were fodder for unnecessary questioning and angst, though I think I an approach for tomorrow.
I tried again for WA1A's "24 Days of Christmas" contest but didn't get a ring either time; I did manage a ring for the Drive at 5 but immediately hung up ("saving myself" in the hopes of winning a chance at a tree).
Anyways, it's late. I'll write up tonight's meeting minutes tomorrow.
