Cindy and I went to go see PS I Love You at the local AMC Lowes. When we go there, we get the large popcorn combo, grab a tray, goto the theatre, dump the popcorn onto the tray, then get our free refill... too bad it'll be a while before we do that again... because the movie-going experience there sucked - people in the audience talking throughout the talking and playing with their cell phones, and it's definitely not worth the $10/person to go there to be around a lot of hoodlums.
That said, the movie was okay. I mean, we went there to see Gerard Butler, and he was adorable as always. My sister and I were skeptical about Hilary Swank playing a feminine character, but that turned out to be less of a problem because her character's obsessive grieving of her husband's death exhausted our ability to criticize her not being "girly" enough... (read: be a man and get over it).
Anyways, it wasn't a horrible movie, but it resorted to half-baked ideas and stereotypes, and there was a lot more that the filmmakers could've done with it.
